Last week the team from the Tour Down Under came to Warrawong. Here is some of the footage they took around the sanctuary.
Platypus sightings at Warrawong
December 3rd, 2009Platypus sightings at Warrawong can happen almost every day around dawn and dusk. One of our visitors managed to capture a great afternoon sighting with the sun shining right through the water, clearly showing the detail of this guy going down and under to look for food! Here is the short video:

Milo the suger glider and her twins
November 26th, 2009Milo is one of our sugar gliders at Warrawong. A couple of months ago she had twin joeys! Both are boys and are now beginning to be more active! Here is a short video of one of the joeys and her mum, Milo!

RIP Martha
November 5th, 2009Martha, our 36 year old sulphur-crested cockatoo was much loved by all at Warrawong. As with all the caged birds at Warrawong, she was brought to Warrawong to see out her years when her owner could no longer care for her. Martha loved boys – she loved Eden, our sanctuary manager and I think he loved her just as much!
She received extra special treatment from all the staff and following an attack that left her with both her wings broken, spent the last year of her life living indoors in five star luxury. She didn’t like girls and I have many chunks out of my shoes as proof of her dislike for females. Surprisingly she never attacked the boys! Martha, you will always be remembered.
